Red- 1998 Z-28
Break Calipers Color
I have read many posts on this so far. I have a RED z-28 and my friend gave me silver/chrome Camaro brake caliper emblems. Just thought I would get some opinions. I was thinking of painting my calipers
1. Black calipers, Red frame, and silver/chrome camaro emblem
2. I am leaning towards red calipers, black frame, and silver/chrome emblem
3. OR ALL Black, and silver/chrome emblem.
Just wondering if Red Car and Red Calipers is too flashy, but the Z06's have Red Calipers I believe, even the Red Z06's
Thanks

Our calipers will never look as good as the vettes so I went with black and the silver letters and IMO it looks great. The black will hide imperfections and dirt, I have seen red dirty and it is ugly.

Brake not break..
Just bustin' your ballz
Oh yeah Red car -- my vote is Neon Orange calipers, j/k
seriously though as far as what color you should paint them, ....As Wesley Snipes would say - "Always bet on black"

Around the wheels it is road grime, brake dust, grease etc. The caliper is rough cast piece, not perfect by any means so I think any lighter color shows more. Look how bad the stock aluminum color looks before people do something to it. That is why IMO black will look better/last longer.

If you have chrome rims and d/s rotors i think you should go with red calipers and silver frame with the silver letters, cuz its already flashy. Thats what im going to do. But if you dont want to be to flashy, then go with black calipers and silver frame with silver letters. They both look good, but just how flashy do you want to be.

did you sand them as if you were going to polish them or just enough to get the paint to stick?
