Blackouts
So im looking into ordering tail light blackouts and seen there were 2 kinds smoked and blackouts, idk which one will be better. if the blackouts truely are blacked out and dont let any light through i dont want them but if they let the legal limit through that would be perfect. any one who has or has had them shout out... PS on a black ws6 for those wondering

my advice would be go to a body shop and have them spray your lights with some translucent black candy paint..looks solid black when the lights are off but shows like alll of the light when they are on...looks amaazing..usually cost about $60-80 or so and people cant steal em...i had it done to my previous ride and never got messed with by cops, but before that i had the smoked covers and got pulled over, and they would fall off or get stolen etc...

STAY AWAY FROM NIGHT SHADES. i destroyed a set of taillights doing them. and they also don't have near the shine to them. i then had my second pair sprayed at a body shop and they turned out awesome man. .never once did i ever get bother by the cops and like every other little town they have nothing better to do than look for someone to pull over. i would go sprayed all the way. make sure you also take your third brakellight and you side marker lamps to it will look RAW. so get them sprayed translucent black candy....this may work out really well having a autobody guy for an uncle. I think he'd do it here in a bit when he does my stripes as my christmas present.

this is the smoked covers. they dont shime through great but they do shine through.(at night u can barely tell their there) i would assume the blackouts dont shine through at all, hence the name ''blackout''.
oh and dont mind the dirt it was raining for the past three days and i havnt gotton around to washing her yet.

not a bird but I love to show off. I love the look of the blacked out fronts but I took them off cause with brights on it was like I was running dims all the time. I have never had any problems with the rears, but I havent ever seen my own, my friend has his blacked out too though and I have never had any prblems seeing his.

I'd check with the place you get your inspection done to see if they'll pass you before doing it. Mine won't pass me. My cop friends like it and said they wouldn't pull me over so I'm not worried about it. Just have to figure out what to do to not get pulled over for expired inspection.
Looks just as shiny as the rest of my car.
Can really tell how good the shine matches with this pic. Almost looks like it's just a normal body panel.
