black strip between ttops

i wanted to replace the black strip between ttops its discolored. has anyone done this . i tried to find it on gm parts direct but had no luck. thanks for any help.

I haven't replaced it, but I treated it like I do my paint and brought back most of the color.

mine is starting to fade too

well if you do paint it that would cover it up but im sure you could find one in the salvage yard!call up a dealer and im sure he could get a part number for you if you wanted to buy one somewhere! goodluck!

Mine looked chrome. I just took out the screws and pulled hard and it popped off. Scuffed painted and cleared...

mine was flat black/rust/stained before the paint. I think the previous owner used some kind of a bad chemical on it. The stained areas were blue.

Same. I think its natural fading. I had the blued chrome look as well.

Mine was faded also. I used Ice tuttle wax on it.

We (TSS) can cut out some black vinyl that you can lay over it. That way you do not have to sand and paint it. This way there is no risk of having over spray on your car.
