Black colored dual trunk lid

I've seen few non black colored camaros (mainly its the pewter colored ones) with the exterior trunk lid painted black with a stripe running through under the spoiler. Does anyone know if that is a vinyl sticker or are they actually painted ? Thanks

I don't really consider that area the trunk lid (under the taillights, right?)

Anyways, that is a "Berger panel".. Some third-party started offering modded camaros I believe, and they painted that panel black.. Since then people paint theirs black because it looks cool. The CAMARO indentation is always there. if you want that filled-in look, generally people use Vinyl inserts to achieve that... Although i'm sure some people have painted it as well.
