Black Betty is getting blacked out !

This week I will be blacking out the tailights, side markers, front turn signals and doing the whistler mod to the headlights. While I got the headlights out I am also painting the back of them to enhance the looks of the engine dept. Cant wait to get it done. I have looked up everything I need to do but feel free to add any tips ! Where can I buy some brighter bulbs for the taillights ?

well you could try the led lights i have seen people talk about them in some of the other forums and they looked really good. i would try those.

I used a scotch brite pad to scuff mine with. I don't know if 1500 would be coarse enough or not honestly.

Me personally, I used 2000 Wet/Dry 3M brand and it worked perfectly fine! I also lightly wetsanded in between each coat.

Just my .12 though

It is for the people with Camaros....basically it involves taking apart the headlights and painting the area around the bulbs (that is usually silver/chrome)....black.

If any of that is wrong, I apologize as I don't own a Camaro, but that is from what I have gathered from the forums and talking with Maro owners whom have done it.

With LED's you'll most likely need a new flasher for them to work. I know I did. easy and cheap. Just FYI.

LED bulbs are generally not as bright as standard incandescent bulbs..............is what the info on the LED's says ??????????
