    Smile Before and after pics.

I got my car back from the body shop about 3 weeks ago and finnally got some time to clean it up for a local car meet. I finnally got time to put my z/28 emblems back on an I must say I love the one on the rear panel. I only have 2 z/28 emblems since I lost 2 in the accident but I kinda like it with just the front and rear. I also cut down my antenna(can't really see it in any pics but it looks so much better).

Just incase you did't see the damage.

This is what my rear use to look like.

    The new rear

The front looks pretty much the same except I have stock fogs and no halo's

I love everything you have done with it Jon, the wheels, the clears, the grille, the emblems, and you kept the stock headlights. It all ties together perfectly IMO.

Thanks man I could say the same for your car, if I had a pewter car I would want it to look like yours its clean and simple just the way I like them. Alittle off subject but what did you use to polish your driveshaft(that was you that posted up about that right?). I want to polish my exhaust pipes going out of the muffler and i figure it would be the same process as the d/s.

I was a little unsure about the stock headlights when they said they were going on but now that there on I think they blend perfectly with the front. I don't think the halos would look as good. The only reason I went with halo's before was because they were cheaper than stockers, Plus my stock one's were really hazy.

My next project is to clean up under the hood now that I am satisfied with the exterior.

It was orginally estimated at $5,000 but ended up around $6,500.

Yes, it was me that did the shaft polishing

I wet sanded it with 400, 1000, 2000 and then polished it out with Mothers rubbing compound. I basically did the same with my exhaust. You might try steel wool on it first though.

Thanks for the compliment as well, we have similar tastes

I tried steel wool once before. It shined it up some but there's still alot of imperfections in the aluminum that steel wool won't get out. So I'll have to try sanding them down.

looks really nice bro, love the wheels! sorry you wrecked your car, but it looks like the body shop did a good job lining up the new lights and hood to fenders etc, most shops just slap that shit together, like mine, my body shop put the ss emblem on upside down and crooked, but the guy who did the paint did an awesome job just the finishing guy is a dee dee dee lol

Honestly I don't remember. They were not what I had wanted they were suppose to have a clear lense but it was blue then around the lense there was an led ring. I originally wanted them for the led ring so I would have the rings on the fogs and the halo's.

    Thanks for the compliments guys.

Honestly it drives the same. There was no frame damage it was mostly all body work. It does seem to pull to the right a bit but it actually did that before the accident as well.

    Beautiful!!!

Only thing I would change is the red accents. Strut tower brace and calipers would have to be black if it were mine.
Not sure about the old style badges either, but that is so minimal. Brake light covers look funky to me on most cars, but they appear to fit cleaner on yours than most I see.

That looks AMAZING. Definitely one of the cleanest 4th gens I've ever seen. I really like the look of the classic emblems on there, I think they look great.

Only thing I could do without are the blackouts, I'm not a fan of those.

    Other than that , awesome!

Yes the stb will be getting new paint soon along with the lca's. Those are the only red accents. The calipers are actually chevy orange that match the 69 emblems. They use to be black but it was just to subtle for me I needed something to pop behind those wheels. I think the orange calipers actually draw you into looking at the shiney wheels.

    Thanks for the compliments guys.

    Gotcha!!

I just assumed red...since that seems to be a very popular color for them.

I like my black calipers. Wouldn't have them any other way. But again...I am probably one of the few that loves subtle.

That's kind of funny...you like subtle, yet drive a T/A.

I love T/A's, but man, the last word I'd use to describe them would be subtle.

Subtle changes from stock. I should have been more specific.

Mine comes across as mostly stock, even under the hood.
