Back Seat Removal
Alright, I haven't done it yet but I intend to for two big reasons, first and foremost... I'm 6'2" and when people ask for rides in the back seat I cringe because of the obvious pain in the ass factor.... secondly I wouldn't mind losing that dead weight anyway...
HOWEVER, my car is a vert and I'm pretty particular about the way it looks... I don't like the way the back seat looks when theres no seats and with my car being a vert. it will be all the more distracting...
so heres my question for you guys POST UP YOUR PICTURES of what you've done with your backseat after you've taken it out... whether its a speaker box or something light and simple like leather... I don't care I would rather save myself some weight while I'm doing it BUT I would be just as happy to never have to give someone a ride in the back seat again

Some company makes a rear seat dlete for our cars that converts it to storage space with a flat top.

like I said even if I break even or just add a few extra pounds I'll still consider it a good investment I'm just sick of having that damn seat back there taunting people to jam up their legs behind me...

Whenever someone asks me for a ride. I just tell them, "I'm not moving my seat up". They're cool with it. I may only be 5'11" but my height is in my legs and the seat is all the way back.

+1 i dont even get the point of GM putting a damn back seat in a camaro/firebird they should have just made it like the vettes. Nobody can fit back there not even my 9 year old little sister... Im wanting to do the same thing eventually and make it like the vipers/vettes. Its a sports car and sports cars arent met to have more then 2 people in the car IMO

well first step to this attempt is done.. just took the back seat out... it actually doesn't look that bad once its all cleaned up and vacuumed. However, I know I'll be much happier once theres a couple of nice alpines sitting back there
...
I guess its time to start phoning car stereo shops and getting some info....
