Alliance hoods

are Alliance fiberglass hoods any good?

VFN is producing hoods but they are no less than 6 weeks out and i need a hood sooner than mid to late august and octane motorsports has Alliance fiberglass cowl induction hoods in stock ready to ship...and they cost less.

so...anyone know?

yeah i don't much care for it either. it's only redeeming quality is the vents.

just checked harwood and they don't make one for the 98-02

didn't even see that thing. 3 inches would be a good height...but i don't like the width of the cowl.

I was looking at one of octane's other camaro hoods and asked one guy I found that has the hood about it. He said it fit like complete shit, etc etc. I saw the pics and didn't think it was tooo horrible, but he did put hood pins halfway up the sides to push them down more. I, personally, have a used Harwood 4" cowl that fits pretty well except for the very front corners over the lights, but that might just be my car...
