air lid paint?
What kind of process and paint did everyone use?
I swapped out my lid for a stock one off another TA for the weekend so I could paint mine. Im not only strapped for ideas but I don't know what kind of paint to use! The current lid is "glossy" white ... but it looks more like chunky white out and I'm wanting to go black so I want to avoid the "chunky" looking paint.

haha, I was like "..." I understand the hood is kind of a lid but not what I'm talking about! hahaha
I just am not sure what kind of paint is used so theres no chipping, best outcome, ect. And my white lid looks STUPID amongst all black.

I have used Krylon Fusion on plastic items with good results -- never on an air lid though. Make sure it is real clean and apply it in light coats. Other than that, a specialty supplier like Eastwood might have something suitable for painting plastic.

A guy from our local boards did mine with fusion and a DR sander and it turned out well I think.
Get on our local board in STL like I told you and I'll point you toward him for getting yours painted girl.

Well, if you call Wicked Stickers in St. Charles, tell them you want a black bird decal like mine. They have my whole sticker package saved under Steve Appel name.
Let me know if you need more help.

Yeah, they are really good. Highly recommended locally around the STL area.

Time to get rid of the stock lid and baffle and get a SLP type lid. You could also do the air box cut out mod and get about 2-3hp gain with that too.
SLP type lid and K & N filter will run you about $99 for the lid and $50 for the filter.
I could check on the FAST board for a used one if you like.
