3M Clear Hood / Front End Coating

Has anyone here installed this 3M clear paint coating material? I have seen it on other vehicles like BMW and Volvo but only in passing. I'm interested to know what the pros/cons are and what about long term use. Also how 'pristine' does the front end have to be before installing? Although low miles on my car there are the normal few stone chips.

alright thanks. I appreciate the feedback. There are not a lot of places looking to do an install and the local dealer wants way to much. If he did it himself w/o problems then that may be the way to go.

What I actually did was the used the 3M rubbing compound to help hide and remove a few light scratches and chips. Did not get rid of the really big ones, but I don't think any buffing type compound could. What it did do was get rid of light scratches and white marks from those scratches, not to mention helped make the bigger ones less obvious. The camera can hide alot of details ,but to get an idea of what it did for my car.

Before I spent 30 mins (by hand) with 3M rubbing compound

After, sorry they are different days, with different cameras, but should give you some idea.
