01 Camaro SS Theme w/light in scoope

I have a black 01 ss camaro (purchased stock). I wanted to get some other peoples input on a them I'm considering. I'm thinking c6 z06 black red stripe rims. SS badges matching color. Then in the front SS hood scoop mount some dimly lit red led's to look like burning embers under the hood at night. I will name it The Headless Horseman.

Are there legal restrictions on putting lights in hoods? Has anyone ever lit up the scoop? What about a birds nostrils?

I could even replace that plastic piece in the scoop now, which has dime sized holes, with a new one that's a jagged pumpkin mouth...

My state is pretty relaxed on vehicle laws, but any red or blue light is a big no-no. That being said I know people do it.

Leave the lighting to Home Depot, Lowes, or the 5th gen crowd.

I saw an 02 SS in my area with a white strip in the scoop a few months ago. Didn't do anything for me. I have seen it lately and every time I see it, it no longer has the white light strip in the scoop. Maybe Johnny Law told him something.
