    yuck...soap scum

    What do you guys recommend for washing...that doesn't leave the nasty residue soap scum, i tried zap, and it was a nightmare.

    It's probably happening because of the way you may be doing it
    Do a panel at a time, and rinse. Don't soap up the whole car and then rinse. Don't allow the soap to dry on the finish, especially if is hot outside...

    Yep. Cleaning your car can take your time. Do soap cleaning one side at a time. Drying up the soap will just leave some marks on it.
