White Streaks on Painted Wheels

Have a 1995 Trans Am with the factory painted five spoke wheels. I'm owner # 3. All the wheels have white streaks on them maybe using the wrong cleaner or from the car wash, don't know. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to polish (wax) them off? They are not from the water as I wahed them several times with the Mr. Clean car wash machine.

Taking my 16 daughter to her first car show and trying my best to detail the old Bird out. Just want to be presentable as its a daily (when the sun shines) driver.

If they are painted......you might even attempt to possibly clay them (?) to see if they helps out any. Or, even just use a small amount of white vinegar and water, then rub a small port of the wheel, see if this helps get rid of some of the streaks.
