Snow melted into car now interior is soaked need ideas
So after years of reading multiple LS1 sites I want to kill myself for not knowing that parking a Trans Am nose down on an inclined driveway is a NO NO. We have had a brutal winter in Philly and sometime in December I had 6 inches of snow on the car. the snow slowly melted and entered the car through the hatch area. Wonderful. Drivers side front seemed the worst when I inspected it so I peeled back the carpet and Ripped off the soaked padding.
Well, fast fwd to now when the weather has finally let up and I drove the car this weekend. It stinks. I reinspect and damn if the majority of the car under the carpet isn't still soaked. Padding is disgusting. I wanna die. The car is my guilty pleasure and is getting ready to go under garage c0ver soon and this happens. The only way I will feel comfortable is by replacing everything. I want all of it out as the carpet to be honest is now 14 years old and is loaded with dust and dirt.
My questions are....are there any reputable sponsors in the Philly area who handle this kind of work? When the carpet and padding is pulled should the metal and plastic parts underneath be disinfected or treated for possible mold/mildew from all this water sitting for 3 months?
Guys I want to hear all suggestions/ideas please. Thanks

Pull the interior and let the carpet and padding pieces sit out in the hot sun (if we ever see sun this year). You can simply spray Lysol around the gutted interior, but again, hot sun with the windows down or doors open for air flow would be best.

get lots of air flow into the car...leave the windows down as much as you can. Jeff is 100% right about pulling everything out and letting it sit out in the sun. I would also toss a bunch of dryer sheets into the car as well...dont use the cheap dollar general ones lol they wont really help...
you wont have to replace the carpets unless you absolutely want to...but you need to get that stuff out of the car so it can start the drying process. the longer it sits the worse it will get and the higher chance you have of mildew, etc...
something like this wouldnt hurt either...

Never heard of this before. Not understanding how any of that would cause a leak unless you have a place in the weatherstripping that just isn't doing it's job in the first place.
I mean I blow ours off at the car wash every week, forcing water up in places it wouldn't normally go with a car just sitting still, and I never have a drip inside anywhere.
I'm thinking if he has that bad of a leak just from gravity when the car is sitting, then there is something that needs addressed??? I mean what happens when you spray that thing at a car wash?? You might just be knee deep in water.

man this sucks interior is removed was a piece of cake took a little over an hour with two guys. Issue now is the old car smell we disinfected the car but there is still an odor basically on the floor pan and even on the steering wheel from the car being 14 years old now it just smells old. Used Clorox wipes & it helped in certain spots but this is going to take more any suggestions or am I screwed

This was from a nose down park job on a steep incline no doubt. 10 inches of snow slowly melted into the hatch.

My mom's old Integra had a moisture problem on the front floor pan. I used BG Frigi-Fresh to kill the bacteria and mold after I soaked 90% Isopropyl in the summer sun with the windows cracked. Worked pretty good. Watch out on using the Clorox wipes, most of them (if not all) have bleach and most probably discolor stuff.
