My T/A had plenty of scratches some very bad, when I bought it, dudes kid and his bike and the garage story. I hit it with some 3m rubbing compound Perfect-it 05973 And then some 3m polishing compound finesse-it finishing material, all by hand no machine, I got all this at my auto paint store, (total 30$) the rubbing compound completely removed all the scratches and the polish made everything look better than new, after a few spots I did the whole car, it is a real head turner, I will swear by this stuff forever, I even did a spot on the wifes car where she had a disagreement with another vehicle in a parking lot. I would post some pics but the sites says I have used my quota? WTF?

How deep are the scratches? A lot of times, these advertised products (as well as scratchx) contain so much fillers that all it does is simply cover up the scratch or swirls, but they'll return before long. They'll do very minor attempts at correction. The most aggressive polish that I would suggest using by hand is ssr2. Here is a test panel that I used it on. I applied it w/ a microfiber applicator pad. This took 2 times to achieve this result. You might consider following up the ssr2 with something lighter like ssr1 or polish w/ carnauba or polish w/ sealant.
Now, again, a lot of what will come out is going to depend on how deep the defect is. You will also achieve better results w/ a machine than you will by hand. And wetsanding will do even more yet. You see my point I'm sure :P If these are very deep, dont get discouraged that using a product by hand wont remove them.
Heres some links. The ssr2, ssr1 and polish w/ (either) carnauba or sealant is on this page.

If it's just into the clear code and not the paint, use some 3M rubbing compound and an orbital buffer on it.
