Infinity QX56
This belongs to a member here, he just bought it and contacted me to do some detailing on it
When I've arrived, he had already claybarred it, and the SUV looked real nice. I did claybar the cowl a little bit more using his Adams Claybar. The SUV by looking at the before pictures looked real nice, but once I started polishing it, I started to realize a noticeable difference
The process:
-Wash the car with Duragloss Car Shampoo
-Dried using WW Microfiber Towels
-Polished, and cleaned the paint with a combination of Prima Swirl and Menzerna PO85RD3.02, PC at 5 using Meguiars cutting pads
The next step was to apply Danase Wet Glaze. This glaze is free of oil, and it's a gloss enhancer made with acrylic polymers that bonds to the paint for maximum durability. I applied this using Meguiars polishing pad
-The final step was to seal the paint with Rejex paint sealant using a LC finishing pad
The roof was done with Klasse AIO, along with the painted side of the fender wells. The inner fender wells were sprayed with Adams Undercarriage Spray
Black trim I used Klasse Rubber, Vinyl, and Plastic treatment
Before: (after washing)
Like I said, the car looked nice, but on these next pics, you can see the difference the polish was making. Notice the front right side fender, and the passenger side door already been polished, in comparison to the rest of the back side:

Now, this is what I call a toy, folks. 3.5 liter motor, V6 Mopar Powered (300 Chrysler engine) this car is street legal, and it can move!!!

Thanks man!
This was a quite experience for me. Ben (the owner) told me it was an Infinity QX56. At the time, it didn't mean anything to me, since I'm quite behind on the import car scene
So, I'm thinking is a medium size sedan, or a two-door sporty car
Well, I did some research on this particular model to see what I was going to be working with, and to find out how hard the clearcoat may be; that's when I found out it was an SUV
But it was an enjoyable experience working on this Infinity QX56. The paint was in really good shape to start with

Great job! That SUV looks great and the differance before/after is very noticable. The paint looks smoother with more depth. That kit car is cool! I have never seen one like that before. I bet its a blast to drive.

I like how the kit car has that aggressive tread pattern on the tires. You know he ain't driving that in the rain, the lcd tv would get ruined for heavens sakes! As for it being street legal, in most states you have to have wheel wells or at least something over the tires, in a lot of states if you just get wider tires on a truck, you have to get wheel well fender flare extenders even.

Not in California lol. Being that this is the Socialist State of California, you'd think they would be picky about that stuff here, but they aren't.
I see trucks running around all the time with 37"-40" Super Swampers that stick out 4-5 inches past the fenders. And seeing 9"+ lifts here is quite common (I've heard some states limit how high the vehicle can be lifted).
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread. Goose, you did an awesome job on the QX56. Hell, I'm contemplating driving to Denver just so you can work your magic on my car lol.
