    How to exterior plastic shine?

I am curious as to how to make this perticular piece of plastic shine? I don't know the name of it but it is located behind the driver and passenger window. It is in the shape of a triangle and is black plastic. Well if you know what I mean, I am wondering how to make it shine? Mine is faded and has light scratches on it!

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

i know what you're talking about-they are hard to keep a shine b/c it's like a laminated plastic. I've tried tire stuff and leather stuff, and it just makes irredecent streaks.

I just buff them with 3M's plastic polish....
I also do the same with my taillights.

I thought about that but I wasn't sure. I'll give it a try!
