How do you remove house paint from a car?
At least I think it's house paint... Some dumbass thought it'd be cute to kick a paint can over the wife's sons car.. The lid came off and some paint got on the hood.. How would I go about removing it? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Most house paint is latex or water based. I would start with a good compound wax, keep the cloth wet and do not stay too long on one spot. When you are done, finish waxing the car then drive to the dumb ass's house and punch him in the mouth. Done.
My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k

I am in agreement with what has been said so far. If it is a latex or water based paint, you will be able to remove it without issue. I had the pleasure of doing that to the lady's Trailblazer after she drove through paint. I used warm soapy (extra soapy) water, and detailer spray once I found the paint was latex based.
If the paint is enamel, it's oil based and cannot be removed in the above manner. That would be a costly issue to resolve, as solvents/thinners/cleaners are used to clean enamel based paints. Those have the potiental to damage clearcoat and paint. Obviously, not good.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

At least he didn't put the latex paint on the car on purpose - like a friend of mine did once - took brown latex paint and a roller. He rollered paint over bugs, bird droppings and all. It was a '79 Caprice. A turd anyway.
