    Hood changing colors and peeling...

I have a black 2000 WS6, and my hood has a lighter color than the body of the vehicle, never been repainted before. Could this be normal wear, also some spots are pealing off a clear coat like if it where plastic coming off. Should this problem go away if i take it to a professional detailer, or will it come back in the future?

Anyone know of a good Detailer in Maryland?

if its a different color than adjacent areas(ie top of fenders and bumper cover) it could have been repainted before . . . and by the sound of it, with a cheaper paint. it could be normal wear . . . but if its peeling, it will need repainted . . . no other solution.

Sounds like your gonna have to find someone to re shoot your hood, or re-paint it. Are you the original owner? Maybe the previous owner had it repainted or it was wrecked.

The heat from the engine compartment will eventually impact the paint. That's the hottest part of the body. My black Camaro has it, in part because it was never garaged

Have checked to see if it has its insulator still on?
Unfortunately, what you see peeling off is irreversible. You would need to repaint it...
