Sunset metallic orange- '01 Camaro SS
hey guys I think I may have ruined my shiny alum. wheels
Hi guys I have a set of tt2's 17x11" and I thought that they were chrome ( I know.... I'm a rookie) and I had sprayed chrome rim cleaner on there and let it sit for a lil bit. So when I went to wash them off they came out horribly. I mean it dulled the shine almost to the way brushed stainless steel looks. I'm so mad at myself!!! Cuz they looks so good before i even touched them. They didnt even really need to be cleaned i was just bored, so I thought to myself "lets go clean the SS." Did I ruin these or is there a way to bring them back to life? Or did I take the clear coat off, which I did not know that had?
- Thx in advance guys!

TRIPLE BLACK- 2000 CAMARO SS M6 #2100
Sounds like you did the same thing that I did way back when I didn’t know any better either and had just bought some brand new polished aluminum wheels and sprayed some 'all wheel cleaner' on them and they came out all hazed and dull. I had to re-polish them really good to get them back to life. Make sure to use a good aluminum polish and a buffer because you will never get them back with just some polish and elbow grease. Good luck with it man and for what it’s worth I never use anything but good ol’ soap and water for my wheels now.

Aluminum Polish should work, at least to the point it will be barely visible.
Most likely you'd need like a Mother's Powerball to work with.

Try to find Mother's Billet polish and use that.

some aluminum polish and mothers powerball should restore the shine in your rims.

if you can fine people that polish trucks (rigs) they can make them look like chrome when done, no matter how bad they are
other wise what was posted will work just takes some time
