Favorite wax/polish for a black car?
Ive had black cars before but this trans am attracts alot of dust. It seems everytime I use my duster I leave small scratches on it and then want to wax again. any advice on what wax I should try next besides zaino? This car isnt a daily driver and Isnt driven in rain or snow, but still a bitch to keep clean.
Thanks rich

Black
I use Meguires (sp?) and Mothers on mine and it works great! A nice wash, claybar, wax and buffing and you should be good to go. Places like Autozone carry the whole line of Meguires and Mothers wax. Keeps my black clean...just my .02

Meguires NXT Tech Wax. Awesome shine, easy to apply and buff off. Its about $14 a bottle, but easily worth it.
Even smells good too

I use the Meguires NXT Tech Paste Wax and Turtle WAX Ice Polish Paste on my Black SS. You tell me how good it works...

I use liquid glass. Works pretty good. I don't have pics right after though. The one in my avatar and profile are months after.

Black on Black on Black- 2002 Camaro SS Vert
It seems that the Zaino product seems to be highly recommended. I was on the Zaino web site looking at what they have to offer. There are a lot of choices....what product would someone here suggest for a first time user of Zaino products. I'm working with a black finish that is in very good condition: not driven in rain/snow and stored inside. I'd like to buy some but want to make sure I get going in the right direction.
thanks!

This is what we use on everything including are show cars. It will work great for what your talking about.http://www.meguiars.com/?pro-pure-po...Show-Car-Glaze
Changing out clean towels is a MUST!!
Once you get rid of all your hair line scratches you can follow it up with there #11 which is a pure wax.
The other thing we do out here in AZ is....... And yes this might sound stupid. Put a piece of rubber to the underside of the car and let it drag the ground. We mount it so as it wears down we can move up the mounting point which will allow rubber to drag the ground again.

I'd let the dust sit till you wash it again. For wax I use Pinnacle liquid Soverign wax.

For dark colors, Z5 would be the best choice. Zaino has a pretty good line of products that allows you to obtain the best results using a combination of their products offered
At a minimum, you would need the ZPC Polish if you have minor defects to address, the ZFX to allow you to do multiple coats without having to wait 24 hours to cure, Z5, the Z6 QD, and the Z8 which is an excellent apray sealant to be used between washes to prolong nad enhance the looks
Zaino has recently come up with two new products that are also getting rave reviews, the CS, and the ZAIO

I have been using Black Velet http://www.topoftheline.com/auto-wax.html
My car had several scratches when I bought it and regular wax would make the scratches show up even more. This wax is black and helps hide scratches on black cars. It is weird because even though the wax is black when you buff it off the microfibre towel does not turn black!!!
