    Emblem Removal???

I just bought a rear finish panel and I want to remove the SS and chevy bowtie emblems. What is the best way to remove them and not mess up the paint? Is it possible to remove them without messing up the paint? Would a hair dryer work? Thanks

I used a heat gun very very carefully so i didnt burn the paint, and took two screw drivers or gasket scrapers and went right behind the emblem so i took the emblem off the actual double sided tape. Then pealed as much of the tape off or adhesive and after that i got a 3M decal remover(goes on a drill) or you could use a laquer thinner or somthing of that sort just be very careful...then buff the area well because some cars to fade.

    Hope this helps

I used a hair dryer as well then just peeled them off. There will still be some of the double sided tape left, that i just rubbed off with my thumb then I got the adhesive that was left off with a rag and some goo gone.

A heat gun works as mentioned, but be careful not to burn the paint, or warp the emblem
You could try a fishing line (nylon) also to remove it with (see-saw motion)

The fishing idea with a blow dryer seems like a good idea. Thanks
