    decal removing

    ok my dumb@$$ just put on a red insert on my SS hood..i have a all black with tan interior tan convertible top with red emblems.. i figured the red insert would look good with red ss badges and red brake calibers..well i dont have the calibers painted yet..but i do not like the way the red looks with my tan top...how do i remove the decal without hurting my paint?

    Warm it up with a heat gun or hair dryer and it should come off pretty easy. Careful if you use a heat gun as it can damage the finish.

    It's been so hot out here, I wouldn't need a blow dryer. And, I would also be very careful about using a heat gun.

    I took a full set of red anniversary stripes off my car on a warm summer day without issue. Just pulled them right off. It was surprisingly easy.

    I took my white stripes off with a heat gun.. You shouldn't have to get it too hot, a little heat and they'll pull right off

    warm up with hair dryer and use a piece of fishing line about 6to 10 lb test works great

    warm it up and it should come off pretty easy. when you get it off you can use WD40 to take the glue off. i would wash it after just to make sure everything is off.
