    Black 2002 SS: 1st Wash In 2009 - 56K Beware!

Spectacular days for a car wash in CT. Decided to use Meguiar's NXT Generation shampoo and wash mitt, Zaino's Grit Guard bucket, filtered water. Truth be told I washed the SS twice since the first time looked good. I dried it with a brand new leaf blower that did an amazing job gettin rid of standing water spots. Here are several photos I took with pride.

I had a few beers afterwards and it looked better in person!

I use a leaf blower to dry my car each time and then towel dry from there. Leaf blower does a great job. Be careful to not blow the ground or other material on the car.

WOW that looks great. No problems with the leaf blower kickin up dirt from the ground? I mean do you just crank it up and let it go or do you actually get on the gas of the blower?

Under the car cover is another car cover that protects my '88 IROC Z28 from wild birds and their droppings. They always seem to nail my car with bomb precision when taking off from the neighbors house.

The leaf blower is an electric Black & Decker LeafHog. I blew the water droplets from top to bottom for good coverage to resist kicking up stray dirt and particles. It's extremely useful and very loud in fact I'd suggest ear protection. Next time I'm gonna use earplugs because I found myself using the LeafHog on every aspect of the body and wheels at close range and my ears were ringing towards deafness. It sure beat using a chamois cloth or rubber blade both of which I am still hesitant to use.

One thing I noticed about the leaf blower trick was that it sucked a tiny insect and slammed it into my quarter panel therefore warranting the 2nd wash. I'll have to devise a simple mesh screen to avoid this.

Xmillion for the leaf blower. I have 2 Stihl leaf blowers, one for the yard and 1 for this. But I also have an air compressor too. It's awesome.

    SS is looking fine!!

    East Haven/New Haven shoreline area.

Thanks everyone for all the great feedback. Next big step is to Zaino the SS after all I spent good money for the Zaino Restoration Kit might as well use it for upcoming show events and New England Tri-State gatherings. See you somewheres on the road!

I really appreciate the compliments guys! I haven't waxed it yet as I found a few hard to reach water spots under the rear wing lol. I have been extremely meticulous with this SS that I'm becoming a total fanatic about it. How to find and avoid water spots is a learning process with the keen eye.

BLACK is a color that can test the patience of the best detailer!

I'll be submitting more pics in the near future. It has been raining a lot these days here in Connecticut so here it sits in the garage for sure!
