88' Ferrari Cabriolet
Well, this detail on this Ferrari was kind of odd for me.
While the paint looks good, it could still use some buffing to polish out some minor scratches and bring out the "pop" effect.
This car also has a single stage paint job.
Only 9500 miles on it!
The owner just asked me if I just could claybar it and wax it.
That put me on a big dilemma and I started to think out of the box to come up with the best way to make a difference by just claying and "waxing"
After I clayed the whole car, I did the wheels and tires.
I decided to go ahead and apply my sealant using a white polishing pad as opposed to a traditional finishing pad.
The reason I did this was to maximize the correction effect on the paint, not to take any scratches out, but to bring a gloss to it.
The experiment worked. I decided to apply the sealant working it in to where it almost disappear into the finish. I coud still see some red on my pad from a slightly dead paint removal from some areas.
The car turned out good. Not as good as if buffed and all of that, but that's what the owner wanted, and he was happy with the final results.

Nice! Not so sure I like the look of the car... but the garage and other eye candy sure caught my attention.

Nice work as usual, but that might be the ugliest Ferrari I have ever seen.

Come to think of it, yeah, it's not the best looking Ferrari of them all.
Though I've seen some that really are not that eye-catcher, but boy, they're worth a fortune.
Old ones I'm talking about

Goose -- if it's ok with the owners, I know I wouldn't mind seeing some underhood pics of the cars that you detail. I never get to see exotic stuff like this around where I live. Just a thought.

Good thought!
I'll keep that in mind.
I often get caught up on the business at hand, and hardly ever get a chance to drool over those nice cars, even though I'm a car guy at heart.
I'll snap pics of the engine next time.
I'm actually working on a nice 68 Camaro this weekend. I'll post pics tomorrow along with engine pics!
