    68' Camaro

I've spent two days working on this nice Camaro.
It belongs to a friend, and I still need to go back and finish some little detail next weekend.

This car was painted about 6 months ago. The paint had some minor flaws on the finish. A lot of holograms from the rotary buffer and the wool pad that needed to be buffed out.
Also, the trunk lid was wetsanded methodically; 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 and 3000 grit by the owner while I worked around the rest of the car.
It has a 464 motor. Yes, I've got pics

Saturday was a nice sunny day, so I was able to take some before pics to show the holograms and then later we pulled the car out to check the work.

    My process was:
    Claybar Zaino Z7
Zaino Z6 used as lube and as a QD
Ultimate Compound by Meguiars using a Cyan Foam Pad from Lake Country Hydro-Tech to remove sanding scratches, and then followed up with Menzerna SIP and the Tangerine Foam Pad, from Lake Country Hydro-Tech Foam Pads to gloss the paint and remove whatever little defect that may have been left...

I of course used my Flex XC 3401 VRG Dual Action Orbital Polisher.
Once I was done, proceeded to lay a nice coat of Blackfire Wet Diamond Paint Sealant with a black LC finishing pad and my Porter Cable.

    Before:

    Wetsanding the trunk lid...

Afters: This was after I buffed out the holograms...

    Afters: Sealed with Blackfire Sealant:

    Bonus pics...

Do you guys remember those cars that I did for the Barrett & Jackson; the Bel-Air, the Camaro, Corvettes, etc...?

Well, guess what the same owner just got...
    A little preview...

The Camaro is missing the spoiler. It was being wetsanded and it will be installed next week. I just had to leave early today due to some personal commitments, plus everybody wanted to leave early...

I'll be back to buff it and give it a once over; hopefully take some under the sun shots weather permitting...

    Thanks for the kind words

I'm fortunate to be able to work on those cars.
It makes the experience that much enjoyable.
I just hope it keeps going...
