    2002 SS Bumper Cover

My wifes SS is no longer her daily driver. It is extremely clean but I would like to repaint the front bumper cover to remove previous bug debris. The color is Pewter so I know it is hard to match. Should I remove and repaint the original or buy a new one? Any recommendations?
    Thanks

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

are you doing the work yourself? if so, remove/repaint.

I looked into this for my t/a and was told that the amount of time it takes to remove/sand/prime/paint, it would be just as economical to buy a new front clip which comes primered.

I had considered buying a new bumper cover and having it painted but was worried that with my luck the fit would not be as nice as when it came from the factory and the one on the car fits perfect. I only say that because I have bought factory stuff in the past for other vehicles (hoods, fenders) that were not good quality even thou is was factory stuff.

    Bugd debris?
Describe the damage. Is it like missing paint or something?
I wouldn't replace it unless it's torn, cracked, or missing a piece.
Painting your existing one would be your best option, imo..

If you want it right- take it to a paint shop. Look around for the best price and ask to see some of their work. I went to 8 shops before I found one I trusted and their work was quality- they were cheaper than any of the others too.
