This Mustang has never seen a buff, let alone a good wash!

Started by wasging with Duragloss Car Wash, Claybar, IPA wipedown, Menzerna, Blackfire EP, and finish with Blackfire Wet Diamond

The trim got a new product I'm testing to see if I like it. It's made by a local company
Tired got Black Magic Matte Finish, Wheels Lucas QD

    Before:

Now, the next pics fall under the category of WTF is that?
I decided to open up the trunk to clean and wax between where the trunk lid meets the bumper when close
I thought what I saw was a bird nest!

    Before continued...

    Afters:

Really weird. I wonder if the trunk is not sealing up well somehow?

Are you doing detail work full time now, or still just on the side. I know you have been busy lately with vehicles, which is good.

Well, it has become full-time lately. I don't have a job right now. Got laid-off. My company moved to Tennessee!

It's one of those things that comes and goes. I could go days without doing anything, and I can have some days where I get a lot of business

Lately, I've been lucky to have made a couple of good contacts that have generated some good referrals...

The Mustang I did today came from a guy that lives across the street from a lady I was doing a truck for few weeks ago. He saw me working on it, and asked me to do his mustang later on. He called me this week

The black Z28 is from a friend of mine, who may also get me some business

The Range Rover tomorrow, came from a friend of the guy that owns the red corvette, Range Rover and the C6 I did last week
He is going to hook me up with his dad tomorrow who owns another collection of cars. So we'll see if I can be fortunate enough to get his business

Hopefully I can keep it going, but you never know. I take it while I can, you know...
It's like selling car, or working on commission. It could be stressful sometimes

I have seen birds nests like that under the trunk lid of a few cars before-but they were 20+ years old !!! LOL

The red paint pops on that Stang! Very nice reflection shots as well. I sure hope you keep busy and you make more $ than your old job. That way you make a good living and we keep getting these awsome threads with PICS!!!!!

    Keep em coming!!!

Looks great! and about the trunk gunk.

Sounds like you got some good business on your hands! The work you do is amazing and I would definitely take my car to you if you were closer.

And by the looks of it I think you just might be saving these cars too! If you do cars for people who arnt all that into taking care of them and they see how nice they come out, they'll end up caring for it much more and keep them looking as nice!

Congrats! and I hope more business comes your way, good luck!

Thanks for the kind words guys. I do appreciate it
I figure as long as I keep doing a decent job on those cars, and make the customer happy, it'll always be rewarding for me
Let's hope it continues for now

If a stock Z28 needs help to beat a stock Mustang GT, then you've got problems...

    An update on this Mustang...
I ended up going back to do the engine bay. That thing was just as bad as the trunk rails
The funny thing is that this guy thought that I would do the engine bay for what I quoted him to do the interior and exterior. Are you kiddin' me? yikes!

I told him it would be a few bucks extra, and he said that all he really wanted was a quick cleaning, nothing special
Wow, when I saw the engine bay, what the customer calls a quick cleaning, and what I thought was going to take to make it a "quick cleaning" were two totally different things
I did however gave him more than what he expected without me going all crazy. I only was going to spend an hour max on this engine, given that he wasn't paying for an all out cleaning job
With that said, this is what we've got...

Final results. Needless to say, he was impressed with the way it turned out, eventhough it could've been better...

Check out where the battery is on that stang- I bet that is a pita when you have to change the battery.

So he wanted a quick clean up under the hood huh? Hahahaha!!! Cheap ass people crack me up- " You mean you didn't include cleaning under the hood when you charged me $75.00 for a wash, polish, wax, and interior detail?? WTF!!!!!!"

Someone went off road in that car-no doubt.

Looks nice for a "quickie" Goose.
