    Question $350-400 a good deal?

So I went to a bodyshop today to get a quote for them to shave my inner fenderwells, remove my pinstripe, re-paint the recessessed FOOSE lettering on my wheels, and last but not least completely detail the paint. As he phrased it for $350 but no more than $400 for all of it. Who thinks its a good deal, who thinks its a bad deal?

Interesting I was thinking like $300 tops but everyone I've talked to says its a bitching deal. Guess I'll get it done and post up some before and after pics. Thanks for the input guys.

Hmm I'll get back to you on that I assumed buff, polish, wax and sealant but he didn't specify and it didn't occur to me to ask.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

Sounds like a 16-20 hour (2 day) job. My daily rate is about $300. To do stuff like remove pinstripes and paint, that's $55/hr for me. Might want to get another quote-just b/c it's a good deal, doesn't mean it will be done right. Ask if they'll clay bar the paint prior to polishing? Will they remove any buffer trails and micro marring from the first pass (a black car WILL need 2 passes to look like a mirror) Will they do the windows? Do they steam clean or pressure wash the engin? Do they dry the motor or let it drip dry (that will cause issues).

I called them and they said they would do a vinegar wash and would buff it "if it needed it" so I'm thinking they can suck a fatkids dick. Also it dropped a bunch of snow today so I guess I'll have to wait til spring since it would pretty much undo whatever they did do. So no TSS they weren't planning on doing any of the stuff you mentioned.
