WTB t/a monsoon head unit

My monsoon is having a hard time playing CDs and i'm thinking i need a new one unless there is a way to clean them? Letely it will get a few minutes into a CD than start skipping randomly. I thought the deck was getting too hot b/c my heater is stuck on (don't ask, i'll be fixing it soon). But that wasn't the case.

If anyone has a stock monsoon head unit for a trans am shoot me a price. Specifially i'm looking for EQ/CD no tape deck nor the camaro one

Haters stay out-i like the stock look.

Y dont you do the AUX mod and not worry about a CD? Then you can hook up your iPod and forget about ever making another CD

Mine skips too... horribly. ive tried a couple of things to fix it but of no use. i know it sounds crazy but it plays scratched up cds better than perfect ones now.

weird....i discovered i have a 12disc changer-it works great! Sucks that I have to run out to put a new CD in...inconvenient! but nice for long ass trips!

How long have you had a changer and didn't notice? Never go in the hatch? If you want there are places I found that will repair your factory hu for you.

i had the same probpem except my cd head unit stopped playing cds all together. i called the dealer to find out they dont make the head units anymore. since i like to keep the stock look same as you i just wired the ipod to the back of the head unit. works great

Mine was doing the same thing.I took it to a local place here and they swaped the cd player in it , fixed some of the lights in it and changed some of the worn buttons. $245. I'm the same way, I like the stock look and the EQ in the head unit.
