Windows and Stereo Power cuts out

I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem. My boyfriend has a 1996 Camaro and over the last year when he hits a bump in the road the stereo and electric windows quit working. Hit another bump and the power returns. He has taken it to the dealership several times for this problem but they can't seem to replicate it. It is now to the point that the power to these two items only stays on for a couple of seconds when the car starts or when a bump is hit and then it's gone again, so I guess you could say that it is getting progressively worse. He had the power window motors replaced last summer (they were worn out and the windows would take about 15 minutes and a lot of babying to get them to roll up) but this problem was there prior to the new motors and continues.

It sounds like a loose connection or broken wire in the wiring harness. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where to start the trouble shooting process?

loose power or ground connection to the BCM, which is responsible for retained accessory power (RAP) -- more common problem than you would think

usually the BCM isn't bad, and hopefully not -- as the replacement process for that isn't simple -- have him check wires first.
