For those with infinity 6022 or 62.9.....

Do you have to cut the tweeter wire and solder it or would it be easier to cut the woofer wire and make a different hook up to the stock wires?

The tweeter wires are the ones that go up toward the magnet and have the little piece of tape holding them in place there. Cut them at the connector and attach the tweeter wires from the car harness to them.

    copy that

cut the wire so that the capacitor is still attached to the frame and you are just using the bare wires to attach to the stock wires. now i just have to figure out how to read that damn wire schematics. lol

I cut the the capacitor side that was attached to the frame and used the capacitor for filtering...some guys do not. Don't know if it matters a whole lot either way.

Here are the wiring harness wire colors:

    Camaro Coupe
    Doors
    Black...Left Tweeter +
    Yellow...Left Tweeter -
    Dark Blue...Left Mid +
    Light Blue...Left Mid -

    Light Green...Right Tweeter +
    Purple...Right Tweeter -
    Orange...Right Mid +
    Dark Green...Right Mid -

That is just a pigtail to connect the speaker to the harness. So when you remove the harness from the speaker mark the wires either going to the tweater or midrange so you remember which are which.

I have it on the +3. You can tell a difference. Before you put the door panels ack on fire up the radio and see what your ears prefer.
