subwoofer question..02 firebird

my firebird doesnt have monsoon and still has the stock headunit....i was planning on buying a 10" sub (rockford fosegate punch probably) a amp and a driver side stealth box...what else am i going to need? and this will work with the stock headunit?

It will probably work easier than actually having Monsoon in your car. My buddy's a professional installer and is dreading the day that I ask him for some sound upgrades. I'm not "in the know" as to why it's easier to work around stock units without Monsoon, though.

imo for $50 on amazon you could probably get a pair of better components (x2) and for another $50 you could get a better 4 channel amp to power them. i got quoted over $100 at an audio shop to work with monsoon so honestly you might as well replace it all if you aren't installing yourself (and if that shop wasn't BSing me.)
