sub boxes
are the ebay sub boxes any good? im getting 2 12" 2400 watt subs and the ebay boxes are the only ones that seem to have the right airspace/ mounting depth. subthump ones were a lil small, i think the ebay boxes might use 5/8 mdf and sub thump 3/4 you think the ebay box will hold up?

It depends are you going for just loud thumping or sound quality? Because all you need in an F-body for sound is 1 10''. If you just want to cruise and bump then the two 12's will make some noise. It is all personal preference and how much money you want to spend. I have a single 10'' subthump box with a RE audio in it and it is so huge for a ten. If you get the dual ebay box I would get some JL subs which I had in my 88' towncar and that would move some air!

well i have already two hifonics 24/12 subs they have a 7 3/4 mounting depth and need atleast 1.5 feet airspace each and the ebay boxes are just right to fit them but the subs i have are 2400 rms each and im just wondering if those boxes will hold up being only 5/8s mdf? anyone else put really powerful subs in a ebay like box? do they hold up to alot of pressure? subthump uses the thicker mdf and im sure its stronger but its only 1' airspace per sub

check out subthump.com i just ordered my box from them. A bit costly but it looks like it was a factory option. And for the record he deals specifically with our type of cars. Even has the t-top boxes as well

MDF is MDF. No matter who makes it. As long as the design is good it should be fine. 5/8" and 3/4" is commonplace for subs.
