    speakers still crackle??

    heres the situation:

i replaced all my speakers in my 01 z28. rear 4' boston accoustics, mid 6' elemental designs 7kv.2, and front 6.5' infinity kappa 62.7....before the install my front speakers would crackle bad on mid-high volume. the others were just out n sounded bad kinda..

Soooo i took off the front panels to see alpine type-s in there for both the front and the speakers looked relatively new...i was surprised that they went out like that. And then low n behold the brand new fuckin infinitys did the same thing..Soo im thinkin the guy put these aplines in thinkin his stock ones went out to only realize the problem wasnt the speakers. Sooo what could possibly be causing this??? My friend said it might be a bad video out plug or some shit. anyone know??

It could be a bad connection somewhere. Do you have the factory or aftermarket headunit? Do you have monsoon?

I would pull the headunit and make sure all the connections are good. Then go to the amp near the spare tire and do the same thing. If everything is good then it could be the headunit itself. Also check the wiring where it passes through the door.
