speakers blew
So my speaker on the driver side sail panel blew this week. What is the measurements for all my speakers? My car is a V6 but it has the extra speakers and tweeters in the hatch as well. Right now I have a Kenwood unit, kenwood excelon shallow 10" subs 6 speakers and an Alpine amp. The ones that blew are sony so they're crap. I play my music pretty loud at times so I need something that will handle it and not break the bank. Any suggestions?

but in brands i could tel you
kicker
infinity
or polk audio.
polk audio comes with a separate twitter to make it sound better.

damn that sux,,, i hope you can make them pay..
usually all the cars have the same size speakers on the doors..speacially in the front.
i had kicker on my 98 blazer the fit perfect, im sure camaros should have the same size speakers..
if you get them by them on ebay..its way cheaper there..

Black- 1998 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
I have 98 trans am ws6 with monsoon. In the door panel there is a 6.5" speaker and tweeter. The back seat is also 6.5" and in the hatch there is a tweeter and 4" speaker. My car was stock was a mixture of 2 ohm and 4 ohm speakers, I would look at the ones you want to replace before purchasing and try to match them to the existing system....I bought all 4 ohm so now I'm rewiring the entire car.
Couple recommendations...unless you want to really redo the car, I would only replace the door and backseat speakers. Not a single of my speakers went in easily...the front didnt screw in completely flush...I had to remove the bracket for the tweeters on the doors, they were bolted and glued so I had to break the plastic on the back side of the door to get the tweeter out...now i have a pound of epoxy holding them on...leave the stock tweeters...I had to search for speakers with a similiar bolt patter for the back seat.... I had to trim the plastic on the hatch panels to install the speakers and tweeters I got....PITA.
I spent some money and went JL and Infinity, replacing all the speakers cost me $500 and then I needed to get new amp to feed them....$400....
Probably wouldn't do it again....and still putting the car back together...

I have pioneers on mine and im happy with them. My sub is a JL and my amp is a 6 channel JL. I deleted the trunk speakers. You can't beat the infinity's they sound sweet.
