concerning my factory alarm, i've had my car 4yrs now and always forget how to reset the alarm, but my question is, i let my mom drive my car and when i got it back, I hit the unlock button and my alarm goes off. what am i supposed to do during this, i've tried putting the key in teh ignition, hitting unlock on both the door and the remote and toggled teh button under the dash. I can't find my owners manual right now, i don't think its my shock sensor going bad because it only does goes off when i hit unlock. Also when i close the door, about a minute later, the doors lock, is that the valet mode or what?

Do you have a second key fob to try?

It sounds like the Unlock button may be triggering the Panic mode.

Also, double check the shock sensor.

Mine came loose and the alarm would go off if the wind blew.

It was hanging in the wheel area and the slightest movement caused it to bump.

As far as turning it off...

You should be able to put the key in the ignition and turn it to ON to make it stop.

well it turns out, it was caused by my battery being low on fluid lol, i disconnected teh shock sensor and same problem, disconnected the battery same problem, checked the battery and it was low real low, and neglected my bad, so i cleaned the terminals and added distilled water and now back to good! but thanks for the help

ok not to hijack the thread but you stated that you have a toggle switch. my 01 ss has a factory alarm also but I have never seen this swtch. do the all have one? to be honest I never realy looked for it where is it at? thanks....
