    Running light Intensity

Just changed my running / turn signal sockets a few weeks ago as they were pretty done in.
I know the wiring is exactly as it was before and the sockets are new.
What I have is the driver side light operating brighter than the passenger side.
Both bulbs are new from the same pack.
Sockets are new with no corrosion; (I replaced the insides and cleaned so the wiring never changed)
    What gives?

Swap the bulbs, see if the brightness stays on the driverside or goes with the bulb.

Later on tonight ...... both sides went out with directional dash lights on with no turn signal function.
I will tear both of them apart on Tuesday.

    Forgot to follow up.
Turns out that the socket insert piece wasn't fully locked in..(my bad)
Fried the holy hell out of one socket.
Replaced it and made sure they were fully engaged and the contacts were polished nicely.
    Everything is nice now...

one suggestion that might increase "brightness", is to replace both housings, ...mine were old, fugly, and blocked a lot of light. the new ones i got look a lot better, and allow more light transmission - the DRLs are much more apparent now..

yep it's an easy upgrade, ... i did notice the new ones (i think they were "Depo" brand), had a reflective coating on the interior surfaces, ..which my stock/OEM ones did not...
