The passenger door area or the rear seat? Trunk speakers are the easiest ones in the car to replace.

Removing the huge panel is the most difficult part. I think theres a few screwes holding down the panel, one in the bottom and one near the coat hanger, I can't remember. I would give it a once over to double check for any screwes/bolts, and the rest are clips and it pops right off. From what I remember too, it really isn't any fun putting back on. But once its off, a few more bolts hold in the speaker, which is a subwoofer, and the wiring harness that uinclips. http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119948 This is a link to sweet subs which are still on sale. http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36813 This is the write up on how to properly seal them and get the best sound out of them. I would make sure these will work for your car.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
don't remove the panel, it's a freakin headache and there is enough space to work around it, plus you can pull on it and bend it as needed.
the existing speakers come out with a 7mm drive.

I agree, very painstaking to put back on.

The sail panel are the drivers (subs) that panel is cake to pull the highs are in the front doors and behind the rear seats. i put a four chanel in and replaced the fronts with 6 1/2 rockford power series and didnt use the very back speakers then used the same speaker for the sail istead of using it as a dedicated woofer. I had to drill my own holes to mount the speaker because i think they use a 6 3/4 size speaker instead of 6 1/2
