Replacing sail panel speakers

I need to replace my sail panel speakers and was wondering how to get to them. Do the grills pop off or do I have to remove the whole panel to get to them? Thanks in advance for any info.

Grills pop off.. There are I think 4 plastic tabs holding them in... You shouldn't need to much force.

Ive replaced my passenger side, not to hard . mine had small clips that the the small hex head screws fed into. they fell into the quarter panel when i removed the screws but the new gm speaker came with new clips and screws. i just replaced my pass side door speaker today . a little harder then the sail panel but no huge chore.

the sail panel speakers are actually subs right? i heard that u have to buy a 6½" sub otherwise if you put a regular speaker in there u will lose a lot of bass

^^^That is correct. The subs have voice coil connections also. It has two connectors there, and they both go into the sub.
