Replaced headunit and door speakers, still crackling

Have had an on and off prominent crackling coming from the passenger side door speaker for years, as well as a light one coming from the sail panel on that same side (I have the 6” bazookas in both sails). I figured it was my old head unit or wiring, but today I replaced my head unit with a brand new Sony Double din AX5000 and very carefully wired the harness using butt connectors and also replaced both door speakers with JBL 6.5" 2ohm composites, and yet the crackle persists. Everything is otherwise stock, car is a 2001 WS6 with the monsoon package. So have replaced the head unit and speakers, what's remaining? Any tips on what might be causing this?

Update: The wiring at the speaker itself was fine, but the positive one one of the connections on the sail panel sub had become very flimsy. I re-soldered all connections on my sail panel sub for that side and the issue disappeared.
