Radio display out in my 2000 gtp

I have a 2000 gtp grand prix (daily car)and the display went out this weekend. Is there a bulb in the radio that can be replaced? Just thought some one may know Thanks for any input!!

I think they are led's and are soldered in. You can replace if you know what you are doing.

had mine go out! the display is blank correct? take it to a local stereo repair shop, had mine fixed for 50 bucks. it was some sort of power distribution chip that needed to be removed and soldered back on!

I had mine go out in my 98 and the bulb actually pops out. It's a normal filament bulb with the 2 long wires and it sits in a little black socket you feed the wires in and bend then then cut excess. I payed 24 cents for the bulb at a little electronics shop. It's a 12v bulb and like1 or 2 watts. looks like factory. too bad the rest of the radio is now crapping out. I only listen to cd's and hardly ever uded the FM so it's getting worn and skipping more now. Takes about an hour to take the radio out and fix the bulb and put it back toghter. now I could do one in 20 to 30 min at most. !st times the hardest. pull the old bulb 1st to match ot up.

for $15, you can do it yourself.
