I know that our remote CD player cycles anytime we re-connect the battery (I always disconnect when we park the car for any length of time). I finally removed the cartridge from the changer to prevent this. It is definitely drawing power even with the key off, but it should not be a very large draw.

I disconnected the antenna, and have not had a dead battery since... antenna worked fine raising and lowering as it was supposed to, but at times i could hear a faint clicking sound in my speakers after shutting off the car and opening the door... I think I have found my culprit... so, do you think it actually is the antenna itself or the wiring...??

Probably the antenna. Could be the internal switch that cuts power off at full raise and/or full lower is acting up. The motor may still be running and drawing power even with it down. Probably has a clutch assembly that would allow it to run without damaging the mast in the event of an obstruction.

I would test it before replacement.
