    Pioneer DEH-8300 Installation

I've got all the parts for the install and am going to solder up the harness today.

On the `99 Trans Am Monsoon system, are there any speakers that are connected directly from the HU or does the Monsoon's HU output line level to amp for all channels? I've got 6 line outs on the Pioneer (2 front, 2 rear, and 2 subs).

I'm hoping to just solder up 4 RCAs to harness and call it a day. I already have installed a Bossaudio amp with Audiobahn sub that I will now run direct from sub outs to the Bossaudio.

    Thanks!

If you use a wiring adaptor it is just plug and play. Only wire for the monsoon to work is the remote wire, which you will have splice off to turn on both amps.

Really? That would put speaker level from the Pioneer to line IN on the Monsoon unless the Monsoon takes speaker level IN.

Do you have the steering wheel adapter?

    99 Trans Am

Well the install went great and I drove to work with it. It looks great and sounds great. I still have to install the Pac ... I ran out of time. I thought it was funny how you can go to their website and the only Trans Am in there is an `89. The print on the instructions is so small that I may have to break out the reading glasses.

Soon the Monsoon amp will be bye bye as well as replacement of all speakers.
