Exclamation Need some help on an electrical issue

Hello everyone, i hope this is in the correct place, if not i apologize. i have a 94 Z with an LT1. the car has just had a new rebuilt motor swap. the previous owner said they changed the ECM and Motor. my problem is hardly anything in my car will work now. i noticed they had by passed the VAT module with a jumper wire just to make the car run. i am planning on replacing this as i can afford. my stereo, dome light, mirror lights, keyless entry, door dinger....none of these things will work. i have checked all fuses and relays and all check out good. someone cut the plugs from the original stereo plugs and i still cant find the wires lol. anyways, can someone please give me some ideas or suggestions as to what to check or do in order to get this stuff working?

    Thanks!

Sounds like a ground or two was missed when everything went back together.

Do u mean like a motor ground or just a ground in the wiring harness?

There are a couple of grounds on most cars -- I am not familiar with the LT1 harness, so not sure. But when that many things are not working, and all the fuses and relays are good, next best suspect is a ground issue.

A modern wiring harness will have a few different grounding points both under the hood and under the dash. If the harness has been chopped up I would think about a new harness. If it is in good condition I would grab a wiring manual or a schematic. Good luck and make sure you have a good ohm/volt meter.
