Need some help with deck install please?
Here is my sitiuation. I would like to replace my factory deck on my car with a Pioneer DEH- P86DHR (bigger face, with remote) I do not have the bose, just monsoon. A buddy said he will put it in but doesn't have experience with my car. For instance, we don't know if we have to disconnect the stock amp or what. Does anyone have a write up or anything on this that could help me please.

Just a normal wiring harness and antenna adapter and it should plug right in. You don't even need the dash kit. It's about as simple as it can get. The trim just pops off. Deck is held in by two 7mm bolts, out it comes. Unplug the wiring harness and antenna from the deck. Make sure your aftermarket harness is the correct by matching it up or plugging it in. Assuming that it is, unplug the harness and wire the aftermarket adapter harness and the aftermarket deck harness. Match up all the colors. Crimp cap or tape off any unused wires. Connect the antenna adapter. Plug it all into the aftermarket deck. Put the new deck in. Screw the bolts in. Snap the face back on. Should take about 15-45 minutes.
You don't need to do anything with the monsoon amp.
