    need pics of ......

    would like to see pics of where you guys mount your xm radios if not on the dash or windshield....im lookin to mount it somewhere different...and also pics of radar detector power cable....we all know how wide our dash is....i dont want the cord running across the dash...im tryin to hide some wiring....

    No XM here but I do hide the detector power cable. I run it up under the headliner and across to the A pillar. I then run it down the A pillar to the fuse box. All of it is unseen..

    did you splice in some new wire for extra length?

    No the wires that came with the detector had more than enough length. I did both the Z (whistler) and the Lincoln (Valentine One) the same way. Both came with wires long enough to run it that way.

    i got some fancy cobra one but the cord isnt very long....

    I'll take one at lunch today. I routed the wires up and into the middle air vent and clipped the radio mount onto the vent fins. Been working for 2+ yrs now. No wires in the way.

    On my old trans am i ran my power straight to my rear view mirror getting direct power from the lights. All the lights still worked fine and never blew a fuse. I will be doing the same thing to my Camaro this summer!
