    jl audio 8WO's in my sail panel...with pics

    began enlarging 6.5 hole. used a dremel cutting wheel. make slits on the sides, and bent the tabs back. after massaging it with a hammer, it welcomed the new jl with no problems. the jl doesn't hit the back wall. the taps kinda gave it a litte bit of a spacer.





    had to cut off bottom grille holder on the panel and on the grille

    the panel doesn't touch the surround of the speaker. close, but not touching.





    grille replaced with inside liner removed.

    sounds pretty good. but would sound a lot better with a real amp. right now everything is still stock.

    yeah you would definitely need a new grill...

    plus I'm surprised that those 8" subs have a shallower mounting-depth than the eu-700s... interesting
