What do you want to use the dimmer for exactly? To dim the headunit itself?

To dim the HUmount itself. it has the red trans am logo LED.. The headunit already can dim.

I looked on a schematic and it says the gray wire is for the illumination of the radio and the brown is for when the lights go on to dim the radio. I would think the gray would work with the dimmer.

Hey JD, post some pix when you get it all set up. I've been kicking around the idea of getting one of those for the longest time. I'd like to see what they look like in our cars, lit up...

I will. I have to figure out what to use as a postive source. I dont know if its illumination or dimmer that controls the it or the illumination line... but I will find out.. waiting on shipping
