    help with radio install

Alright i was checking things out to put a kenwood stereo in my 2000 z28 coupe. I have the correct wiring harness but i have a few questions. A..why does the harness from the car have 5 more wires then the harness to the radio. I believe it has to do with non typical 6+ tweeters speaker set up. B... What is the other harness for? I havent seen anybody talk about this...i havent taken the time to really think about it out i was just looking for quick info.

The aftermarket radio doesnt control/recieve as much as the stock. Steering wheel controls are in there. I'm sure your aftermarket has a antenna control, but that could be another.

The main harness has an extra wire (green I think) for the steering wheel controls and the smaller harness is for the CD changer- even if you don't have one. I'd have to get back into the dash to see about the other extra wires.
